Lunge is a spear enchantment that propels the player horizontally in the viewing direction during a jab attack. It consumes hunger and cannot activate in water or during Elytra flight.

How the mechanic works
- Lunge works only with the spear's jab attack and reaches maximum horizontal distance when the view is level.
- Levels I, II and III consume 1, 2 and 3 hunger points respectively, and activation requires at least 6 hunger points remaining.
- Each activation also costs one spear durability at every level; it cannot be used in water or while flying with Elytra.

How to obtain
- Enchant compatible equipment at an enchanting table.
- Apply a matching enchanted book at an anvil.
