Mending is a treasure enchantment that converts collected experience into durability for damaged equipped or held items before the remaining experience reaches the player's level bar.

Equipment and conflicts
Compatible equipment: Equipment. It cannot normally be combined with Infinity.

How the mechanic works
- Each experience point used repairs two durability points.
- If several damaged Mending items are eligible, one is selected at random for each collected experience orb.
- Once the selected item is fully repaired, unused experience from that orb can contribute to the player's experience total.

- Most durable equipment
- Items held in either hand or worn in armor slots
- Conflicts with Infinity on bows
How to obtain
- Find the enchanted book in eligible structure loot or other treasure sources.
- Trade with a librarian when this enchantment is available in the active villager-trading rules.
- Apply the enchanted book to compatible equipment at an anvil.
