Effect by level
| Level | Effect | Expected multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1.0-second load time | Varies by mechanic |
| 2 | 0.75-second load time | Varies by mechanic |
| 3 | 0.5-second load time | Varies by mechanic |
How the mechanic works
- Load time is 1.25 seconds minus 0.25 seconds per level.
- It changes preparation time, not projectile damage or ammunition use.
- Commands can create higher levels, but sufficiently high values can make the crossbow unable to complete its loading animation normally.
Affected blocks and drops
- Crossbows
- Arrow and firework loading time
- Does not increase projectile damage
How to obtain
- Enchant compatible equipment at an enchanting table.
- Apply a matching enchanted book at an anvil.
- Find or trade for an enchanted book that contains this enchantment.
