Formula and game rule

Solid volume = width × height × depth. Interior = max(width−2,0) × max(height−2,0) × max(depth−2,0).

What to check before using the result

Dimensions are rounded down to whole blocks and never treated as less than one.
Doors, windows, floors of different thickness and decorative gaps must be adjusted separately.
