Formula and game rule

Slots = ceiling(items ÷ stack size). Shulker boxes = ceiling(slots ÷ 27). Double chests = ceiling(slots ÷ 54).

What to check before using the result

The final container may not be full because the result always rounds up to usable whole containers.
A shulker box item inside another container is counted as one slot; nested contents are not expanded automatically.
