Effect by level
| Level | Effect | Expected multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Returns the thrown trident | Varies by mechanic |
| 2 | Returns it faster | Varies by mechanic |
| 3 | Fastest survival-level return | Varies by mechanic |
How the mechanic works
- The trident returns only after it finishes its outward flight and is not prevented by changing dimensions or losing its owner.
- Higher levels reduce the delay and increase return speed.
- Loyalty conflicts with Riptide because a Riptide trident launches the player instead of being thrown normally.
Affected blocks and drops
- Tridents
- Thrown-trident recovery
- Conflicts with Riptide
How to obtain
- Enchant compatible equipment at an enchanting table.
- Apply a matching enchanted book at an anvil.
